NMC has an opening for a Material Handling Account Manager in the Omaha, NE area. The Account Manager serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction. The AM is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. In addition, the AM should build relationships with customers to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.
1. Responsible for expanding our customer base by frequently contacting current and potential customers to sell battery and charger equipment and promote product support services. To include but not limited to; Onsite customer visits, cold calling, following up on leads and hand delivering proposals
2. Maintains continuous knowledge of products and identifies potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the product. Understands company products and effectively communicates all offerings to the customer.
3. Contact existing and potential customers by telephone and electronically to sell products and services, ensure customer satisfaction with existing products, and expand customer base.
4. Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed and quality standards are met.
5. Aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business.
6. Enter data in CRM system daily.
7. Actively participate in industry training on an ongoing basis

• Knowledge of material handling equipment and and/or battery and charger technology
• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, finance and sales control systems
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Skill in communicating effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Basic computer skills required, with a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Professional phone skills, excellent work ethic, multi-tasking skills and good decision making skills are required.
• Strong organizational skills, excellent ability to communication with customers and coworkers at many different levels is required. • Skill in demonstrating products and answering questions from customers.
• Demonstrate the ability to close deals.
• Ability to read and understand information and ideas.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent amount of education and experience preferred.
• 2-4 years of outside sales experience preferred.
• Material handling experience preferred.
