The Student Union was not available to us for three consecutive business days in October 2015 which resulted in a modified fall event schedule. We understand traveling to Kearney is not easy and regret this schedule will require you to travel on Sunday. We are allowed to reserve dates 2 years out and please note that in 2016 and 2017 we have a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday reserved.

Sunday, October 11

IDO Members Set Room for Event | 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Ponderosa Room (2nd Floor)

Program Partner Booth Set Up & Registration | 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Evening on Your Own

Informal gatherings with students are encouraged but must be held off campus and set up individually with the students.

Monday, October 12

Program Partner Breakout Sessions | 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Room 310, Room 312, and Sandhills Room

The Industrial Distribution Program Partners are allowed exclusive time with ID students. During this time Partners will give a brief company overview, and discuss their internship program, and full-time career paths after graduation.

Career Fair Set Up & Registration | 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Ponderosa Room (2nd Floor)

A loading area is available on the north side of the building. Students will be available during this time to assist with bringing in materials. With a campus parking permit you may park in any lot on campus; the lot north of the Union will be reserved for the event. Lunch tickets for the commons area will be available when you check in.

Advisory Council Meeting | 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

UNK Student Union – Room 310

Advisory Council members will receive an agenda prior to the meeting. If your company is interested in having a representative on the council, contact Mr. Scott Jochum. Lunch provided.

ID Program Overview & New Company Orientation | 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

UNK Student Union – Room 312

Company representatives new to our event are strongly encouraged to attend. IDO Leadership Team members will provide an overview of the program and strategies to make your experience at the career event a success. Lunch provided.

Industrial Distribution Career Fair | 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Ponderosa Room (2nd Floor)

The focus of the first 90 minutes will be seniors seeking full-time positions and those seeking Summer 2016 internships. Underclassmen will arrive at the fair at 2:30 p.m. Light refreshments and beverages will be available.

Interview Change Over | 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Ponderosa Room (2nd Floor)

Company booths must be dismantled at 4:00 pm so students can begin resetting the room for interviews. Interview locations will be different so all booth materials need packed up and removed. Freshman and sophomore IDO members will help during this time.

ID Program Partners Reception | 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Holiday Inn – 110 2nd Ave

Program partners have the opportunity to network with senior ID students. Light appetizers and drinks provided.

Senior Banquet | 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Holiday Inn – 110 2nd Ave

Celebrate the senior class. Company representatives and senior students will network and discuss opportunities and future plans. Dinner will be served followed by a short program. Cash bar. Business casual dress.

Tuesday, October 13

Showcase of ID Student Internships / Breakfast | 7:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.

OTOL Room 133 & 135

While a diverse internship is essential, the quality of the internship project can make or break the experience. Selected interns from the 2014 internship program will present on their project including the scope, impact and measurements of success. The importance of a well-rounded experience will also be discussed.

Company Conducted Interviews | 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Locations to be assigned, map provided at the fair.

No interviews will be allowed during the Career Fair. Morning refreshments, lunch tickets, and afternoon snacks will be provided.

Interview Booths Disassemble | 4:30 p.m.

Immediately following the conclusion of interviews, IDO members will disassemble booths.
