IDO Student Career Fair Booth Set Up / 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Company Career Fair Set Up / 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Great Room (2^nd Floor)

Students will be available during this time to assist you with bringing in materials.  With a campus parking permit you may park in any lot on campus.  Permits will be mailed upon receipt of your registration.  Several parking stalls will be reserved on the north side of the Union for loading and unloading items.

 

Advisory Council Meeting / 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Best Western Mid Nebraska Inn & Suites – 224 S 2nd Ave

Advisory Council members will receive an agenda prior to the meeting.  If your company is interested in having a representative on the council, contact Mr. Greg Benson.  If you are interested in going to dinner following the meeting let us know.

 

ID Overview & Orientation / 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Holiday Inn – 110 2^nd Ave

Company representatives new to our event are strongly encouraged to attend.  Students on the IDO Leadership Team will provide an overview of the program and strategies to make your experience at the career event a success.

 

Program Partner Dinner /  6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Program Partners have the first opportunity of the event to network with seniors and interns. Hot Buffet.

 

Opening Reception  /  7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Take advantage of this opportunity to visit informally with students seeking full-time and Summer 2013 internship positions. Hors d’oeuvres provided.  Short program at 8:00 PM. Casual dress.

A common concern of the industry is to continue to find talent for key positions. Ideas and proven methods of growing the ID discipline through student and community awareness will be presented.

An opportunity to ask questions about requirements of our internship program and learn best practices to incorporate in your company’s internship program.

UNK ID Alumni have the opportunity to meet and discuss getting involved and staying connected.

 

 

Career Fair / 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Ponderosa Room (2^nd Floor)

Light refreshments and beverages will be available throughout the day.  At the conclusion of the fair, you may pick up a box lunch near the registration table.  The focus of the first 90 minutes will be seniors seeking full-time positions and those seeking Summer 2013 internships.  Underclassmen will join us at 11:00 a.m.

 

Interview Set Up / 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Great Room (2^nd Floor)

Company booths must be dismantled and we will reset the room for interviews. Interview locations will be different so all booth materials will need packed up and removed. Freshman and sophomore IDO members are asked to help during this time.

 

Lunch Break  / 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Nebraskan Student Union  – Lunch at The Market @ 27^th Street.

A lunch ticket at The Market on the second floor of the Nebraskan Student Union will be in your registration packet.

 

Company Conducted Interviews / 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Nebraskan Student Union – Locations to be assigned, map provided at the fair.

No interviews will be allowed during the Career Fair. Interviews may begin at 2:00 PM in designated locations.  Snacks will be provided near the student waiting area.

 

Dinner On Your Own / 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
You may take this opportunity to invite students out to dinner.   We ask that this is scheduled so that that both company representatives and students are at Network Night by 7:30 p.m.

 

Network Night / 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Big Apple Fun Center, 500 W 4^th Street

Network with potential new hires, interns and underclassmen in a casual, fun environment.  Enjoy bowling, billiards, and indoor miniature golf. Snacks provided.
