Duties:
Responsible for the smooth and profitable operation of the branch, ensuring that the customers’ needs and expectation are met regarding parts/service/sales with the goal of selling Cummins products while adhering to Company policies, processes, and measuring systems.

• Endorse and actively support Cummins Central Power’s Customer Service Excellent (CSE) efforts and the Cummins Central Power Safety Program;

• Responsible for the overall profitability of the Branch;

• Ensure that all branch employees provide excellent service to all internal and external customers;

• Identify and develop potential customers while maintaining good relationships with current customers;

• Adhere to and communicate company policies;

• Create and maintain a safe, clean, well organized and efficient workplace;

• Responsible for overall management, supervision, training, coaching and mentoring of all branch employees including evaluations and team development;

• Manage the branch inventory including order processing, inventory turns and customer fill rates;

• Lead the branch service, parts and sales teams to achieve sales growth, customer satisfaction, cost containment, productivity and profitability targets;

• Manage the branch facility’s daily care and maintenance needs;

• Participation in industry associations and community involvement.

 

Qualifications:
• Superior interpersonal, leadership and customer service skills;

• Understanding of shop profitability, technician utilization and work flow;

• Understanding of order processing, inventory turns and customer fill rates;

• General understanding of sales and marketing of direct and indirect engine sales to the following markets: Automotive, transit, industrial and OEM Accounts;

• Understanding of services and parts sales and marketing;

• Understanding of OEM Dealer sales and support services;

• Understanding of merchandising and sales of allied and value added products;

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents;

• Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community;

• Ability to write business documents;

• Ability to effectively communicate with executive management, peers and branch employees;

• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions, gross profit, and percentages;

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and at least five years of related operations experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

• Current valid driver’s license and the ability to travel when required.
