OVERVIEW: Working as a Full-Time Construction Sales Specialist, you will help develop, sell and implement large Construction based opportunities. This person will be working directly with Fastenal’s National Accounts sales force, District Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Providing exceptional customer service both internally and externally o Assisting in site level assessments o Finding new products to sell to contractors o Working with design and various types of construction companies o Maintaining business with current construction based customers and targeting new customers o Developing and executing a sales plan in the local territory to meet and exceed sales goals
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet our driving record requirements o Prior experience in sales and customer service o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented o Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities o Ability and willingness to travel 50% or more with some overnights required o Ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh between 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Two years of Fastenal sales experience.
