Position Purpose: • Identifies and develops new prospects for sales opportunities. • Interacts with existing customers to increase sales and customer satisfaction. • Project direction and management – work with customers, internal co-workers and vendors, to move projects forward to a satisfactory outcome. Responsibilities: • Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential customers. • Identify and resolve customer concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future. • Work with engineering and purchasing teams to make sure customer requirements are met • Maintains knowledge of competition, Purvis products and market trends.
Requirements: • Technical/Engineering background preferred • Post-secondary degree preferred. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong organizational skills • Willingness to work a flexible schedule • Valid Driver’s license • Ability to travel, including overnight and multiple-night trips. • Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and understand blueprints. • Strong technical aptitude – able to understand technical concepts of mechanical, Fluid Power and other concept, as related to our products. • Be able to work effectively with all levels of Company staff. • Be able to work effectively with customers and vendors to resolve issues. Experience: • At least 1 year of experience in field sales or in a related area.
